Hey, that's really nice for a first time. Everything, color, composition, looks
great except the DOF. Might have to stop down more to get a larger
DOF and use spot focus on the eyes.
    Otherwise it's is really nice.

    Thanks! I appreciate the comments.

I have noticed that here in NC.... I see A LOT of dragonflies. I didn't see them so much in Pennsylvania.

This particular guy was "shot" in Tucson :):D

    Hi Missy,
It's actually a very nice attempt at a dragon. Way better than the two I've been able to shoot (that's why none of mine have been posted).

I can't figure out why it's so soft on my monitor. I look across the wings and they are in focus as well as the stalk. Have you applied any sharpening after you resized? If so, what kind of sharpening.

Definitely a red dragon. Thanks for sharing,
    Chris

A picture is but words to the eyes.

A thousand times better than mine
I'll be posting it later, my first dragonfly -- my daughter managed to get one to sit still for her for what seemed forever, and it landed closer to her so I didn't have a chance. Mine landed in a camouflage zone! But it's special to me.

Your's is gorgeous! Congratulations! And the colors are just spectacular! clap.gif
