About the NPS project
Over time I have noticed that the models who are capable of shooting artistic nudity are also the best models, period. They can be 6'+ or 5'-, size 2 or size 12, sport A or E cup, but it's the level of comfort with their own body and their total behaviour/attitude that typically makes them so good, whether they pose nude or not.
Partly out of this concept came out my "Naked Portrait Series". It's a portrait, but, as the name implies, the subject is not wearing anything, yet feels good and/or really doesn't care about the nudity aspect.
The best time to shoot this kind of pictures is, as I have learned, close to the end of the shoot, when the model is about to be done, but still has some stamina left.
Needless to say that threshold is highly individual. Many things can and do play role in how long a model can "last". It is your responsibility as a photographer to notice those tiny tell-tell signs of a behavioural change, be it a body language or a split second grimace/lip biting, and proceed accordingly.

Back to the subject
One of the first things I noticed about Lury when she entered my studio for her first-ever nude shoot (more on this here: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=177901) was her amazing smile.
And while during the most of the shoot we were working with a more serious/neutral expression, I hold that thought until it was the opportune moment, about 3 hours into the shoot:-). At this time she was about "done", but was still holding up. So I took the camera off the shooting stand, told her "it's a last one" (which also immediately boosted her morale) and started clicking.
Below are a few excerpts from that series...

On a technical side, these frames are ACR6.2 only (PS CS5's Image Processor was only used to add the corner stamp).
5DII, EF 24-105L/4, AB800+82" PLM as main and Profoto 600R+7'Octabox as fill.

Enjoy! C&C is welcome!

Don't know if this is something that you missed, or purposely left in, but in the shots where you can see the light in the eyes, there seems to be some magenta ish colors left. It is in almost every photo where you can see the reflection of the light in the eye... Just wanted to let ya know...

Some are 100% BW, some are 90%-ish, so what you see is probably correct...
