My name is Russ Erbe and I'm a recovering sports photographer (haha). I've been hanging out over in the sports sub forum here for years, but now I'll be here and the weddings sub forum for the most part. I've been shooting sports for years but this last summer I decided to make the switch to primarliy shoot weddings and portraits with a little sports on the side. I shoot on the sidelines at Texas Tech Football games as well as shooting Professional Supercross and Motocross races around the country as a freelance for RacerX magazine which is the #1 dirbike magazine in the country. It's great fun, but I wanted more. So, I started buying books, taking classes, joined my local ppa and practiced and practiced. I few weeks ago I got a business license and started an official photography business and turned my website on yesterday morning. I don't have a ton of content just yet but I believe I've got enough to start rounding up some business.

Anyway, I'll be posting here more now and I wanted to let everyone know a little about me and assure anyone, that you are more than welcome to critique any pictures I post here. That's how you get better right. So everyone is welcome to go check out my new site. The URL is in my signature.

Here are a few pics from a senior session last weekend. Let me know what you think good or bad.

Great shots! I like #12 the most. The color of the background complements her skin tone and dress. thumb.gifthumbthumb.gif
Sitting quietly, doing nothing. Spring comes and the grass grows by itself.

These are for the most part pretty decent. Well composed and lit. I do think 1 and 3 are tossers. 4 is probably my fav. I think all the shots could benefit from a vignette.

+1 on tossing #1 and #3. Nice bunch overall. A few more smiles would've been nice; she's sooo serious. :D

#13 is my favorite. How did you find a street that was so dead like that?

    I also really like 9, 10 and 12.

Yea, I spent a few years hanging over in the sports sub forum and it really seems like most people hang out in certain sub forums and don't meander over to others. So, I figured most people here wouldn't have a clue as too who I am am wonder why I have so many posts. So, I thought I would get it out of the way beforehand. Nice to meet you.
