Wow! thats pretty amazing! clap.gifTHANX for sharing it!.

question - on an image like this would it be a good idea to run it through a noise removal program ( not that it needs it ) to kinda of smooth things out?

Glad you liked it, Troy. I don't like to use Noise removal software, because I found that it will also affect the image making it softer. I could have used it on this, but I didn't mind the noise that you see.:):

    troy
I read somewhere that you can do selective noise removal, but I haven't learned how to do that yet.

Select the head, invert selection, do your noise removal and / or even a bit of gaussian blur and now you have a sharp head and smooth background.

    Nice shot btw.

Thanks, Adrian. I'll try that. Why don't you see what you can do on my above image. I won't mind. Glad you liked the shot.

    Rocky
First is selective noise filter, second same but also a little gaussian blur of the background. On both pictures I attached srgb profile to save the rich Adobe colors. If you wanna see why look here

I learned a few things also by doing this, so my pleasure :D
Did you know the thing about srgb versus adobe profile? Looking at my versions I would even say that it could do with a little less contrast on the head. Maybe the colors will look even more pleasing after that correction.
