Missed seeing this one Craig -- it turned out beautiful. Looks like winter.

You caught the reflection on the water perfectly.

Looks like a sign on the bridge -- do you know what it says?

    Howdy Mary,

Thanks very much, it was a really neat place and one of the first images
    on the trip.

The Sign I am sure is lite up at night says" Welcome to Historic Jefferson"

This is where the Steamship, and other small boats used to turn around to go back to up River.

    Howdy Gary,

Thanks very much, the steamboats that they used down there were about
1/4 size of the big paddlewheelers like they have in New Orleans.

They had to navigate through the small narrow passages.

Here's a little history on it

Very neat shot, Craig. Like Gary, I was wondering how those boats turned around at that juncture. I didn't know about the exact size difference but, just looking at the picture, I knew they couldn't have been big boats. I appreciate the link to the history piece.

    Take care,

    Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

As usual, very nice capture and processing Craig!

Did you stay at the famous haunted hotel while in Jefferson?

    Howdy Tom,

It was a pretty small area, I'll bet in the old days it was quite a bit
larger area but the town has encroached on it a bit.

Lots of History in that part of the State that I didn't know about.

Thanks Randy, no we didn't stay in Jefferson, had read lots about the

Grove Hotel<G> did get the owners book on the Oakwood Cemetery,
really a neat little book about some of the more famous inhabitants
that are buried there. It really made the visit even more interesting

They really had taken very good care of it, and had some of the most
beautiful monuments that'd I seen in a long time.
    Take care,

    Craig
