Hey, your shot is looking wacky on my monitor. Is this one of those natural density filters?... The sun is not even showing up bright enough.

Back in the late 1970's, the lone Jeffery Pine tree on top of Yosemite's Sentinel Dome died due to drought. Part of that tree is still there, still posing for pictures.

I was up there for sunset last night and captured this view of sunset (as seen through the "eyes" of that tree):

I forgot about this thread again. Here's one of my favorites - a woodland pond made by beavers. Shot just after our first snowfall last year with a touch of ice scrim on the surface.

Doesn't every photographer have a favourite dead tree? This one is in the Masai Mara.

Same tree but with sign included. The White Mountains are those rolling shadows in the background.

    Yellowstone Tree
This shot was originally posted in the landscape thread, and was suggested that it be posted here. the tree is in Yellowstone National Park at Mammoth Hot Spring. The bacteria in the water killed the tree as the sedimentary limestone surrounded it. Enjoy.
