My first time in Florida.

I went down there for a funeral, but had a good time retracing the steps of our 'loved one' in all his favorite haunts with his wife (aka my sister-in-law). We didn't have enough time to go running around taking too many shots that week, but I will be going back down at the end of January 2011 to get all the photos I didn't get to shoot last time during a 2 week visit.

Of all the shots I did get in, these are three are my favorites:

Sunset through some palm trees with Spanish moss hanging down (two shots):

And this shot of a storm coming in from the Gulf of Mexico taken from St. Petersburg (there are two waterspouts underneath, but very hard to see at this size):

    I do have this panorama (photo #3) in a much larger size, actually if printed, it would fit on the side of a city bus.

    Those are great shots. I love that the skies so often look like that here out over the gulf!
