Shooting bland flat landscapes with an ultra wide

I am now on an ultra wide lens, (Tamron 10-24 on APS-C giving me EFL of 16mm)
I am going on a trip to Salt flats, where there will be lot of brown and lot of sky, or lot of white and lot of sky.
I am wondering, how to frame, what to frame, etc.,

Care to point me to some samples of wide angle Salt flat photography.
Any interesting ideas welcome!

    no images but..get low...real low..like inches from the ground. get a foreground subject..a rock, a weed, anything...with out a foreground subject you won't have anythng to anchor the shot...think fore ground, mid, and background for every shot. don't put your horizon in the middle. catch the sunrise and sunset. try for some sun flare shots.

    I'd suggest getting an angle finder for this sort of thing - if you've not already got one - makes things much more convenient / easier.

    try googling images of the flats - you might see some techniques that appeal to you - warning - lots of fast vehicle shots:marlin
