Winter/Night FMX

Hand the chance to shoot two FMX on the same weekend, at the same venue so I thought I would post a few. This was also my first time using my pocket wizards for ANYTHING, and glad to say I am pretty happy with the shots =) C&C always welcome!

Too much snow on day two meant the show in the afternoon was canceled, booo

    Pretty cool eh. The landing was a huge pile of snow that had been packed and shaped, and then had Japanese tatami mats and some sheets of wood. It was actually pretty easy on the riders. One guy came off in flight and crashed on the landing, he would have been toast on a normal ramp, but was pretty much fine.

    These are frigin awesome! The snow adds so much depth and texture to the average FMX shots! What strobe(s) did you shoot #'s 4 & 5 with?

    Thanks for liking the photos so much, truly appreciated! I do agree that the snow adds a new kind of depth to the average FMX shot for sure. If I had to choose though I would probably pick shooting on a nice warm summer day though, haha.
    And #4 and #5 were shot using my Nikon SB-800 and a set of pocket wizards. I only have one flash, but I wish I would have had access to one more to make the shots brighter/more dynamic. First time using them though, so can't really complain about the results.
