Just completed a barter transaction with Gus.

He got Scott Kelby's The Photoshop CS2 Book for Digital Photographers.

Kinda boring when you compare it to my booty:

34337426-M.jpg

Read 'em and weep, suckers!

Gus: I've already done the whole Tim Tam procedure that you outlined. Delightful.

Your Brisbane News is much more tame than our LA Weekly, the last 10-20 pages of which is adverts for prostitutes. You're either a more enlightened people, or just more repressed...

Anyway, pleasure doing business with you Gus! I hope to take you up on your offer of tour guide one day...

Yeah, it looks to be like the snacks we have here with processed cheese food, or peanut butter.

Steve, the thing to envy is the TimTams, as Gus described in another thread:
    Humungus wrote:
Its the TimTams that will do your head in mate.

Just remember to 'shotgun' a few of 'em.

    The steps:
    1. Prepare a drink. It can be hot or cold, whatever your preference. Milk is my favourite, but coffee is good for those who like the stuff.
    2. Take Tim Tam from the packet, and try to resist the temptation to just scarf it all down.
    3. Take a small bite out of one corner. Let your tastebuds wallow in it for a moment, then take a small bite out of the opposite corner. Ditto.
    4. Dip one end into your drink
    5. Suck. Go on, SUCK!
    6. Your drink will come slowly up into your mouth, along with little bits of Tim Tam. Mmmmm....
    7. Keep going until the Tim Tam hull integrity is breached. You'll know this is happening when the whole thing starts to collapse in your hand. Gobble it up pronto, and allow your tastebuds to enjoy what is best described as a tastebud orgasm.
    8. Find the packet and return to step 2.

    Update:

So my kids followed the Tim Tam procedure as outlined above. My daughter was slurping, eating, jumping up and down saying "Oh, Oh, it's so good!"

The Cherry Ripes...not so much. They don't like cherry candy or coconut (take after their dad--but don't worry, they'll get eaten and enjoyed!)

    Violet Crumble--much appreciated.

    Carmello--well received.

    The journey continues!

    Second Update:

Son: Dad, can I have one of the Vegemite things?

Me: You want to try that?

Son: No, I want to take it to school and see if I can trick one of my friends into eating it.

    Me: Oh, sure, go ahead.

Good to see it got there ok mate...i kept picturing 12 US customs officers laying on their backs groaning with chocolate all over their faces.

Re the prostitutes...australia is a little like china in that reguard. Our city only got its 1st legal brothel 2 years ago. I used to engineer in a 5 star hotel & i was helping a yank tourist with their net connection one day & they commented that coming here was like living in the US in the 1960's.

Its a bit of a slow joint but nice & safe.

There's nothing legal about it in LA. That's the amazing thing. Pages and pages of advertising for an illegal activity. It's truly astounding.

Apparently it worked. He got one of his friends at school to try the Vegemite. His friend hated it and my son was very, very happy.

My kids are very, very bad.

    Daughter: I feel so bad.
    Me: Why?
D: I took some of that Vegemite stuff to school and told my friend it was chocolate.
    M: Did he try it?
D: Yeah. And then he threw up. I felt so bad. But he said it was OK.
    M: He wasn't mad?
D: No, but I felt so bad. (and then a somewhat sinister smile crosses her face...)

    David,

It's nice to see that some people still know how to raise their kids right thumb.gif . Keep up the good work, but next time get her to charge them for the candy before it makes them sick.
