My local Coopers Hawk came back today. Playing with my new 7D.

And a few cruising Roadrunner shots. I love how the focus tracking works so well on this camera. :barb

And one of him just hanging out fluffing his head feathers.

    Thanks Dave & Jim.

These are some of my first shots with my new 7D camera body. I am impressed with the AF system and it's improved ability to track moving targets. The 8fps also helps when your trying to capture a running speedster. rolleyes1.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Here are a few more from this morning. They are not as crisp because he surprised me and I didn't do a very smooth job with my panning of him on the run. I was also using 1.4 TC that I think softened the images a bit.

    Still fun though. :D

    Thanks Dennis.

I'm learning slowly. A few more years and few thousand more shots and I might get it figured out. rolleyes1.gif

I especially love the second roadrunner shot, where the bird is almost suspended between strides. Best, Pam

Pam, this one's for you. :D

Meeting my Roadrunner buddy every morning is starting to become a daily ritual. Every morning he perches in a tree in my front yard and squawks until I come out. Once I get positioned under his tree he checks to make sure I'm ready and then leaps down to the ground and runs across the same driveway in the same direction every time. I think he's trying to help me practice.

    The toe balance.
