Clipped beak or not, I think the breeding colors look great.
Thanks Stephen. When I began processing this image, I knew there was something unusual (to me) about the colors compared to other shots of brown pelicans I have taken. Now I know why.

Superb work on this one , Jack. I saw a string of these drifting low over the dunes yesterday that was simply breath-taking in appearance....must have been at least 45 - 50 of them in that string, the most I can remember seeing at one time.
