Favela

This may come under the "been somewhere exciting" heading. I was recently in Rio and visited one of the favelas for a potential project. This particular one (as many of them do) has an interesting history that goes back to the days f the monarchy. I have just started to sort through my first images, and I may be returning for more, so updates as they occur.

Power to the people... although I don't know for sure, I was told this is the pretty typical way people get electricity, off the meter of course.
