when replacing photos, will smugmug remember metrics?

HI
I wanted to replace some photos (.jpg's) with more meaningful names and would be worried if I did that, all my photo ratings, # of views, ala metrics would be reset for those photos.
Does smugmug keep those metrics for that "picture" - regardless if I replace it with the same photo with a new name? (e.g. Baltimore 1.jpg replaced with TDM_Baltimore_1.jpg)
Or can I request smugmug to do a sitewide rename to add some prefix to all photos as to help with indexing and search?
