I took some photos down in New Orleans as my family and I stuck out the storm and I figured someone might enjoy them:

It's a little dark but wildly ironic.

I took this a couple blocks from my house. And this bar called " had a sign that said "You loot we shoot".

I'm sure you've seen the videos of the Walmart looting on tv.

I didn't take this but this is my cousin who has a house along the Pearl River in Mississippi and that was a shot from the 2nd story porch of his house. The water got up to about 18 ft. and his family and he barely survived. One of their neighbors actually had to kill a 12 ft. alligator in the 2nd story of their house before being evacuated by a helicopter.

I was having trouble rotating this one:

    Amazing Images
Don't know if "enjoy" is the right description of the emotions just now, but good to know yours is a survival story Hunter. There is a thread on "Wide Angle" in the forum worth looking at, where the emotions of distress and grief and anger and blame are the main ones. Thanks for taking the time to post.

Thanks for sharing. Its amazing how much a photograph can capture. The first one gets more interesting the more you look at it. I like thatthumb.gif

Pretty unbelievable. I don;t think Hollywood could have conjured up a better set.

This is a great documentation of a tragic natural event.
