need help for wordpress

hello guys i hope this in the right area to ask this.
I'm very new in the bloging are i think I'm the last person to start:D
i have a question about wordpress
1. what is the difference between the free blog and the pay hosting in wordpress? i try to find it and doing some search but i end up empty
2. the free blog in wordpress have the options to work with smugmug?

Luis,

It really depends on what you want to do with wordpress, if you want to just embed an image or video into a blog post...it's very straightforward, just paste a SmugMug gallery link like...

or http://studio7s.smugmug.com/Portfolio/PORTFOLIO/14599294_8nAUg#576506214_k6Y3w-A-LB

into a blog post and after you save it, the image will show up automatically. Note that it's required to be from the nickname.smugmug.com instead of your custom domain.

thanks David for taking the time to help me.
so if i just need the blog to link some images and Tell history the basic wordpress that is free will work?
and i have seen a tons of themes i can use those in free wordpress?

The free wordpress account with work with what I explained above. For other plugins, you will need a paid account...and but I'm not sure about wordpress themes. I don't really use wordpress myself, except for testing etc.
