While visiting an historic lighthouse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I noticed these two young ladies. I asked the elder for permission first but I don't think that the younger was terribly impressed. :D

What are you doing interrupting my story time? Oh the look and clinched fist says it all. Nice!

I think something like that was going through her head. She is an extremely brave and intelligent little girl and she later climbed to the top of the light tower (74 ft.). We had a nice little chat later and she warmed up to me just fine.

No way I'm letting my little girl climb a 74 foot tower. I hope you two were at least wearing proper climbing gear!(Kidding)

Seriously though its pretty great in its self that you were able to get her to warm up to you after the story time snaffu. This is most likely the most important part of people photography and is something I need to work on.
