After 10 years of wishful thinking, my wife and I finally were able to get away on our first trip to Hawaii. This was our first real vacation without kids; long overdue! I had never been anywhere tropical before and the North Shore of Kauai was a dream come true!
We stayed in this unit right on the beach (the one closest to the camera):
This was the view from our room. . .
The sound of the surf and the ocean breeze blowing through our room made for some great night's sleep.
A day hike along the Napali Coast was well worth the effort!
We loved the North Shore, but the whole Island was incredible! Here are some other random images from around Kauai:
