I like #1 and #3 for the joy of playing in water... however, the color / exposure is off on this and I be would make a wonderful image with a touch of PP :)

So I will lean more towards #1 :)

OMG, I was just driving by a similar thing we have in my town. I thought to myself, maybe that would be a good place to go take pics. Then I thought maybe not as I was actually afraid I would look like some kind of creepy old guy sitting in the park taking pics of children. I would hope it wouldnt come to that but sadly in this day and age the thought crossed my mind (although Im confident I could explain myself to any curious folks who inquired what I was doing). Im glad you did it because I love the photos. There isnt much better than the innocence of childhood while playing in water, not a care in the world. Sure brings back a lot of fun memories, thanks for that.

Im a big fan of #2, I think its a great shot. What a cutie in the hat kinda looking timid about going all in and getting wet. Very cute photo.

    Thank you so much :)

My husband liked that hat too - it's cute how she went there to the water, with her swimming suit and the hat :)

I personally like most #3 and I cannot see the color / exposure being off headscratch.gif

In terms of shooting there, hmmm I know Dirquist what you mean. This place has an inside swimming pool too,
where I tried once to take some shots and from the entrance I was told: no cameras inside! Outside, yes photos are allowed. Taking photos in public organized places is not allowed, but now I forgot what was the explanation for allowing shots outside.

Anyway, I didn't feel comfortable shooting there, I can tell. I had my telephoto in the bag and I would have tried to use the flash too, but I used a regular lens in order to stay as much incognito as possible... :)

If you want to try this experience, you better ask in advance about the rules of the place.

Of course I will never use these photos for other purpose than this challenge, so I will never do any pp on them.

#2 is really cute, but I like #3 better for the not as bright lighting & positioning - the way she's looking & reaching up is neat & to me it just looks like a cloud covered the sun so the highlights aren't as bright as the others.

I took some shots last year of a couple of my nieces playing in a fountain like that, but agree that if I hadn't known them, I would have felt weird just shooting random kids.

Thank you Lillian and Karin :)

Yes, the light was constantly changing, and when the sun was out it was really bright eek7.gif

If I'll not be able to take anything better, I may go with #3.

Thank you again to all for all the comments :)

Yep, #3, Great comp and DOF. Fills the frame enough so the eye goes right to the subject and enough background to see why she's having so much fun.

Thank you so much Dave - I loved this photo even before I pressed the shutter :)

PS: Too bad I don't know the girl, so I cannot send her a copy.
