I'm looking at purchasing a Manfrotto 190XPROB 3 Section Aluminum Pro Tripod with Manfrotto 498RC2 Ball Head with Quick Release. I will be using this with my Canon 7D w/battery grip and a Canon L 100-400 lens, I would love to know if this is a good choice. I want to keep this around $200.00. I live in an area where I have to order online and cannot go and check out the equipment for myself so I'm hoping the pros here can offer some advice.

I have a Manfrotto 190 aluminum tripod and use it all the time. I would love to have a lighter carbon fiber for hiking but all things considered the aluminum is not bad. I do like the easy disassembly for cleaning after I have had the legs in a creek or in mud. I cannot speak for the ball head though.
