using mac - can i download all my albums into different folders?

i looked up the list of applications mentioned on the wiki page. but it was not clear from the pages of the linked apps as to which one can meet my needs.

i do not want to spend money to be able to do this. so would avoid paid apps.

basically what i need is to have a folder created for every album i have created and have the images in that gallery be downloaded into the corresponding folder.

possible?

i decided to read about this script. http://www.bootswithdefer.com/article.php?story=20071227102301195
it appears that this can do the job for me - now the question is whether somebody has figured out how to run it - i am not a script person :(

    thanks!

You can simply create the folder for each album and go under Tools-->Download All. This will email you a link to a zip of all the images in the album.

i have quite a few albums from years past. creating a folder for all of the albums will become cumbersome.
i was hoping i can do it all at one go... thoughts on how that can be done?

I'm not familiar with shell scripting so I couldn't figure out how to use the info in the previous link without serious research.

You could download all the zips to one directory and then just unzip them to each of the albums. You'll have to specify the unzip folder anyways.

A lot of the download solutions like Albumfetcher for the PC still won't be perfect. There are times when they'll miss files whereas a download zip won't.

Smugloader may also be an application that works for downloading in one go as I believe it's purely java and should run on a mac.

Hopefully someone else will have some other suggestions as these are all I can think of. :cry

update - I think smugloader will do what I need done.
i tried it with Tiny versions of my images because i am in a low bandwidth area right now.
but it should work with Original images as well.

    thank you!!
