Northern Lights Tonight and Tomorrow

Best viewing time is midnight. We are predicted to have cloud cover tonight. I will have to see if I can get out of town tomorrow night.

    I saw the news and went out at midnight in hopes of getting my first ever pic of the Northern Lights. I wasn't sure at first, but there were indeed purple and green hues, they were just really low on the horizon and hovering instead of dancing. Nonetheless, it was a first for me. Probably not a Challenge worthy pic, but still pretty cool:

    Northern Lights
    I am originally from Seattle but have been staying the summer up in Ketchikan Alaska and was able to capture a few photos of the Northern Lights here is one of my captures.
