A few from my Sister's Wedding.

I shot my first wedding 3 yrs ago after my little sister informed my I would be photographing hers. I haven't done nearly enough weddings as my real job makes getting practice tough. Her's seemed even more rushed and harder work than any of the others I've done. I've only processed about 1/3 of the images. These are the ones that sort of stood out to me.

3. I banged away at this dress for a long time, but could not find a way to make it look stunning without the bride in it.

7. Had expected overcast skies, but the sun came out 2 hours before the wedding, leaving me shooting straight at it for the ceremony.

I'm not feeling 1 or 3, but othe than those, I think you did a great job considering you don't do many weddings.

    EDIT.

    Thanks.

    I guess 8, 12, and 14 are off aren't they. Not sure if I should fix 2.

    Primarily shot with a D700, some D300, and some D2H. I think we used just about everything that day: 10.5 fisheye, 30mm f1.4, 50mm f1.4, 85mm f1.4, 105 VR macro, 14-24 f2.8, 24-70 f2.8, 70-200 f2.8, 2 SB-800 (on and off camera). I have too many toys mostly purchased for sports.

They aren't doing it for me either. The dress just wouldn't inspire me. Here's a couple others of the shoes.

    Thank you.

Anybody ever shot a dress similar to this one? Would be very interested to see what was done with it.
