Boy, Dennis, that is one dramatic shot. How did you get that lighting on the bird? Great pose. The BG looks ominous, like a storm about to happen. Very eye catching. Best, Pam

Pam, thank you very much for your comments.
If I remember this Snowy Egret was part in shade and part in the sun. I toned down the background and then used a vignetting filter to darken the edges a tad to draw your eyes to the center of the bird.
And your point about looking like storm and agree with you about that, and the eye catching comment tells me I did the right thing with the vignetting filter.
