Command line PHP script to download all photos in a gallery

I needed a script that would download my most recent photos on a semi-regular basis to a folder on my home theater PC. The HTPC uses this folder for its screen saver.

I wrote a script that lets you download pictures by pasting the RSS feed as a command line parameter, but then I decided to expand on it a bit. You can now specify a gallery URL on the command line *or* with no command line parameters, it'll prompt you for a gallery URL, RSS feed, then the size of the photos you want.

I'm not a coder by profession so this is pretty messy, but it works. It probably could have been done much easier with the smugmug API instead of RSS, but alas...

[PHP]<?php

// getimages.php v1.21
//
// (c)2011 Kris Linquist kris@linquist.net
// Script downloads pictures from smugmug
//
// To be run from the command line. PHP & cURL extension required
// Usage:
//
// php getimages.php "[smugmug rss2.0 feed url]" [Destination with trailing slash [optional]]
//
// -or-
//
// php getimages.php "[gallery URL]" [Destination with trailing slash [optional]]
//
// -or-
//
// php getimages.php
// You will be prompted for URL/galleryID & size of images to download. If you just paste the gallery URL on the command line, I will use this default size:
// [must be Small/Medium/Large/XLarge/X2Large/X3Large/Original, case sensitive]:
$defaultsize = "Original";
//
//
//
// Example for the "recent photos" feed:
// php getimages.php "http://www.smugmug.com/hack/feed.mg?Type=nicknameRecentPhotos&Data=williams&format=rss200&Size=X2Large" ./
