My tribute to Steve Jobs

Here's an excerpt of what I wrote on my blog (http://www.richardmanphoto.com/blog/?p=2918). I only pasted it here because I think it bears repeating:
What impresses me the most about Steve Jobs though is his humanness. When a friend said that he has seen Steve Jobs washing his own dishes, my respect for him went up a couple notches. He is not molded in the like of Larry and Bill or all those other zillionnaries. After his death, someone mentioned that they used to see him at Back to School Nights, or saw him teaching his kids how to ride a bike. While he bought his neighbor’s house and turned it into an orchard (Palo Alto lots are small – 7000 square feet or under are the norm and it’s a huge lot to be 10,000 square feet or up), his house is modest looking. You can walk by it every day without thinking that it is something special.
But the man is Special. No other luminaries of the business world would have had this much outpouring of love and affection if they die. Think Different(ly). Thank you, Steve Jobs.

I've been around a long time and I have never seen a man who has impacted society and so many lives worldwide, in my lifetime.
Sure he did it for the money and that's why I'm grateful to him. In at 180 out at 350, saved my 401K (retirement fund) when it was gutted by the actions of other CEOs who should be serving jail time.
We have a similar respect for different reasons. I'll miss his genius.
