I just used one on a 25 day Grand Canyon trip. No leaks what-so-ever. I wish this had come up before I left. I would have loved to have 2.

Here's a video of it in action! (It is the black box affixed to the raft frame at my side. I installed yellow loops for tie downs. The orange pelican box is our group's major first aid kit. It too was dry.)

Will this fit 2 D300's with 70-200f2.8 and 18-70 attached, 2 SB900's, 2 umbrella/ flash adapters (for light stands) and a couple of quantum battery packs for the flashes??
Have manual focus NIKON lenses for Sale on another forum.... and that is why I am selling them I need a hard case......

1550 dimensions
Here are the interior dimensions for the 1550.

18.43" x 14.00" x 7.62" (46.8 x 35.5 x 19.3 cm)

It comes with the padded pick-and-pluck foam for any type of configuration you choose. I'm pretty sure you can get all the gear you mentioned in one of these. The pick-and-pluck keep everything organized and safe!

I fit Two 50d's, Two EOS 3's, both with grips/battery packs, 70-200 f/2.8 IS, 24-105 f4, 17-55 f2.8, 50mm f/1.4, batteries, film and odds and ends, so yeah, you should just be able to get everything you want in one. I can take photos of my cases all loaded up when I get home, I use 3 of these, one for my EOS gear, one for MF gear and one for lighting.

You won't be able to carry a flash stand in side the case, at least not one I've found.

BTW - I went this this case because earlier this year, I broke both my 17-55 f/2.8 and my lens mount on my 50d, it cost me over $400 to get repaired. I also don't travel with lenses attached to the bodies, the exception, is odviously my MF gear, but it would take a tank to get a lens off an RB67.

I know I cannot carry lightstands / tripods in the case...but I do travel with lenses attached....Always have for over 30+ yrs now.......this is a great price and I am hoping other stuff sells so I can get this one........

I usually keep a 7D (with battery grip) with a 100-400 attached with the lens hood attached in the extended position and tripod ring attached, a 40D (with battery grip) with a 17-55 attached with its lens hood attached in the extended position, a 10-22, 8 batteries, 3 polarizer filters, and a few odds and ends in my box. I have the hoods in place for quick shooting on the water. I'll post a photo with it all loaded when I get home.

I'd be tempted, just to get my flash gear out of my main 1650 (the monster case.) But can't afford new toys, even with Jon being local.

They are great cases. My 1650 is full (95lbs including the case) of gear and I wouldn't give it up, even if I do curse it every time I go somewhere that only has stairs. lol

I have its brother the 1560 and it makes a nice alternative to traveling with a bag. If you intend on using it as designed I wouldnt be trying to cram to much into it. Here is my 1560 loaded up with what I use it for.

This is my Pelican 1450 case loaded. I prefer the padded dividers as it offers a lot more adjustability.

Good luck with your sale! Wish I saw this 2 weeks ago! Contemplating buying yours...anyway, here is my 2 week old one:

In it, from left right starting at the top, is my 70-200/2.8, a spot for another body or my GoPro1080 (and some of it's accessories), then back to the left is a spot for misc cards, batteries, filters, etc, then a 580EXII, then a 7D with a 24-70/2.8, then my 24-105/4, below that is a 1.4x and under that is a 2.0x, and in the bottom left is my 16-35/2.8. This is everything I need for a day on a boat or wherever. I carry my cables and other crap in another bag.
