This retails for only $1200. For $850, I could go out and buy a brand new 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6. Just a thought if you're really trying to sell it quickly...

You obviously have no idea what lens this is if you're comparing it to a 28-300. This is the sharpest telephoto Nikon has ever created and they typically sell for $1000-$1200 used. If you find it for $1200 new than it's either stolen or grey market. The current retail for these is $1499.

Please refrain from price-policing James... It's seriously frowned on here.

    Thanks,

Not price-policing or trying to be a smarta$$, just offering relevant fact.

Doesn't matter now that it sold, but it still warrants being stated.

Actually, I'm quite familiar with the lens. I used the 28-300mm to compare because of its similar focal length and build quality. Thanks for being condescending though...

Damn nice lens for a great price. I would have jumped all over this if i had some dough. Don't think the 28-300 is quite in the same league. Still a good lens, but another purpose.

Yes it does. It's an unwitten rule... just not done here and seriously frowned. Don't wait till the good Dr confirms this for you...
