Courthouse Elopement

This was one of my first TRUE elopements. You know, the kind where the couple decides less than 24 hours before the wedding to get married? Crazy. I spent less than one hour with them and did not exchange a word with them until I met them at the courthouse. Regardless, it felt good to shoot with actual structures nearby :)

BTW- This wedding was done VSCO-less

    Nice, so how did that work? Did they call you x many hours before they needed you to see if you were free then?

    Something like that. The couple decided that they were going to elope and he told his family the day before. The family was sad that they wouldn't be able to attend or even see pictures, because there was no photographer. So the family contacted me with the story and asked if I was available the next day to photograph the wedding. I worked out all of the details with the family members never talking to the couple.

    So it was only moments before their ceremony that I even met them :)

    I'm starting to sound like an ass about that. I should calm down.

    For the record: I think that VSCO is a great tool, saving the average photographer lots of time (and money) if it's the look they want to achieve. From all reports, it seems to be a wonderful toolset that is incredibly usable. Others have even pointed out that it might just give the below average photographer a quick and better way to edit and process files, bringing up the standard in the entire industry (and getting rid of TRA). I just don't see the need for it personally :)

    Instead of thread-jacking, #4 + 6, especially 6 with the warm light!

    I am glad TRA is making its exit as well. Though I have used the LR presets from them, after a little while I found myself more interested in the subtle ones the most.
