Another member of LAMA (Latin American Motorcycle Association)
but done in black and white with the background clutter out and
a gradient in place. A bit soft, and I'm still working on black blacks.

Nice portrait. I think I'd drop the gradient in favor of all black. Even though he is wearing black I think you'll keep a nice separation. If the original background isn't glaring bright it might be good to stick with it, and just burn it down to almost black.

Real nice capture. The angle, the expression, the B/W processing....everything works toward the personality of the subject--at least the personality one might assign to a person dressed this way. thumb.gif

It's a really good portrait, Tony, but it would have been nice if there were more environment -- enough to place the guy. The gear he's wearing helps, but his surroundings probably would have boosted the picture.

Normally, I'd agree and do this way. However, these two images (Jean
and Jean's Amigo) were sitting at the same table and the background
detracted. Badly. I snapped one shot of each, and then they stood up
and walked away before I could go for seconds and a better background.

Nice one, Tony. The guy looks like Tommy lee Jones.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.
