After much aggravation I am beginning to dig my 7D... Oddly enough it was not the camera, it was me all along.:dunno

Rusty Blackbird... This is the new one. I have always seen them in large flocks at a distance, however this one was poking around a local wetland. Looking at it now it now I am not sure I am digging the sheen on the bird.

House Finch
This little fella was perched right outside of my studio window.

Nice images Joe. It took me some time to realize that my problem with the 7D were all me ... I even sent it back to Canon (twice) believing that it had focus issues. Now I love it as my second camera body

I really like the second one too, for the same reasons Dennis noted. In the first one the bird doesn't stand out from the BG too much, and I agree with you the lighting seems a little harsh. Happy New Year. I love your comment that "it was me and not the camera," as this has been my experience too!
