Lighthouse at sunrise - Portland Maine

This is a shot I took at sunrise while in Maine back in October. I have always wanted to chase lightouses up in Maine, and this was my favorite shot.

I apologize for the watermark.

    Nice shot! I've never seen the Portland Light from that side.

    North side of Lighthouse
    Most people get out of their car and follow the fence in front of them which leads to the south side of the lighthouse. The path to the north is not quite as apparent a way to walk but it is the place we have taken our favorite shots. Most of the year it is the place to be to get a good sunrise shot. There are also several places to the north where you can easily walk on the rocks (tides depending). From the rocks you can get a slightly different perspective of the lighthouse.
