John I like this but I wish you would have shot a wee bit smaller aperture to get son in focus as well.....nice results from the box....I'm looking at the big Apollo for the flashgun soon I hope....

Yep. I thought f/8 would have done it, with the son right on Dad's back, or perhaps I could have focused on Dad's ear instead of his eyes. Actually I kind of like the way it turned out, though I can't say I did it on purpose. There's a little bit of mystery or poignancy.

    Thanks for your comment.

Well ya did nail the focus on dad's eyes and having a second look I'm not that bothered by the soft focus on his son :D

The quality of light is really special, too. Beautiful. Was that the 24" ezbox?

Thanks Diva. Yes. It was the EZ-box. I tried to use the 28" Wescott Apollo, but with the stand I had it on, I couldn't tilt it down far enough. The EZ-box is more versatile that way.

I have that issue as well and I was thinking that a boom might solve that?

Since you thought f/8 was going to work at having them both in focus, I am curious about what focal length and distance you were using.
