A wonderful, and well-deserved, acknowledgment of a storied career that has yet to play out to its pinnacle.clap.gif

Never be bashful, BD. Always remember Clement Attlee about whom it was said, ""A modest man, but then he has much to be modest about." Supposedly Churchill said it, though he denied it. In any case, never be modest when you have much to be proud about. Great plug. Bravo!

Well this is just really cool, it's so interesting to see someone featured so prominently in the history and world of something I care a great deal for. Alas, now I'm truly saddened by missing this workshop!

Thanks, one and all! And believe me, I have NO illusions re Evans. But as Liz said, it's tough to beat as Google fodder! :-)

I have no illusions re Evans either, BD. I've seen supposedly valid stories about him a lot worse than that he put a clock on a mantel to improve a photograph. As Evans said about his student's beautiful sunset: "So what?" He was just a hell of a good photographer. What matters is his work. And, what matters about BD Colen is his work. Ninety years from now somebody may say, "I have no illusions about BD Colen, but his work was damn good." Life is short and art is long. Illusions don't matter. Art does matter.
