Been sitting on these for a couple of months, taken one of those really warm days in November of 2011 and finally scanned the in.
Taken on an old polaroid 195 (you know the ones that look like they have accordions attached--let me tell you, it's hard to blend in, and yet no one really paid attention to me)--w/ fuji peel apart film.
A thing about the polaroids--I love it, it forces me to slow down. You can't just shoot to your hearts content because the film is so damn expensive. My husband stumbled on two polaroids for $10 bucks at a garage sale--I kept one and sold the other for film

Then a relative founda 195 in their basement and just gave it to me

You must stop, frame, it's a rangefinder so it takes a bit of time to fanagle, push the shutter lever down, pull the film out, count the requisite amount of seconds and peel apart--highly gratifying.

2. This one had a white border as well, like the one above, not sure why it didn't scan in.
Next--I am working on some of my family candids on the polaroid

I suspect the attraction of two and three is that they look old. But once we get beyond that...Although...There is a certain creepy weirdness about number 3 that may bring it back into contention. :-)

Thanks Benjamin--I've tried to get a shot like this again, but I am not timing my film right (or something) and none have come out this good since).

#3 makes me happy also--it has that "moment frozen in time feel"--way more than any digital photo.

And again I'm back to why we/I are so attracted to old street photos, because of the nostalgic vibe.
