Two from last week that I liked a lot. Both shot with Nikon D700, 70-200 f/2.8 VR-II. ISO 3200, 1/400 f/2.8. 90mm and 92mm focal length. Using continual focus w/ 3D Tracking. Given the level these kids are playing at, I'm afford the opportunity to sit right at the base of the pole about 2' out of bounds (and protected by the ref stand -- though I nearly got drilled by an errant serve).

C&C greatly appreciated.

Andrew - first shot is a good one. Good timing and sharp focus with good exposure. Second shot I just don't care for - way too much uninteresting dead space with no face.

Thanks. You are right on the second one. I think I was liking the curve of the setter and all. As a sports shot it definitely falls flat.

Really tough sport to shoot - #2 in my book on the paininthebutt scale. You did well to get that first one. Very, very well.
