Now that's odd and interesting, Don. Why did the swan tolerate such a close approach?

Maybe because it was already feeling ill from the effects of that water. ne_nau.gif

Or it has gotten used to people nearby! headscratch.gif

    Very strange, anyhow...

    Thanks for looking and commenting.

If a photo is judged by its ability to evoke emotions, this one is a real winner. I get a very pronounced sense of sadness in viewing this shot.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Tom, Thanks for looking in. I've been shooting at this site since May 2009. It was worse then, and they've been cleaning up. But this is the forst time I've seen the swan there! eek7.gif

    It slowly undergoing urban renewal.

    Oh well...

Oh the poor thing ... Looks so sad and out of place. Is there a bigger body of water nearby?

#2 is great, but the first shot really brings on the emotions.

Mary, thanks for stopping by. No large body of water particularly close by. This is a small industrial cul-de-sac. Very strange to find this swan there. eek7.gifcry
