    That first one is wonderful! I can't say I ever dreamed of having an Airstream, but I definitely wouldn't turn one down--they are so cool-looking!

    Lauren, I'm old enough to remember the old "Movietone News" at Saturday matinees in the 1950's with footage of huge caravans of Airstreams gathering at the big western parks like the Grand Canyon. I think that footage publicized the National Parks long before Disney or National Geographic and helped create the concept of the family vacation road trip to the western parks.

    Great point about the national parks, Werner. I've seen some of that footage in recent years, since Airstreams are popular again. Never known anybody who had/has one though.
