Isometric Perspectives?

Heya fellow Dgrin'ers,

It's come to my realization that I've never been good at getting isometric perspectives of objects such as buildings and, for that matter, most objects/subjects. I'm realizing and noticing I've been taking way too many centered, headon shots- even if I try to do rule of thirds it ends up not really looking that impressive, it feels like my photos lack something, like depth or something.

Does anyone have any suggestions about this?

Examples of your work would be helpful, as well as links to other folks' works that you appreciate.
