    That's really nice, Monte. What makes the trees orange? Is it the tungsten light from the street lamp? It looks like fall colors, but way too consistent. Color balance in the sky is just right. Those straggly disconnected parts of trees midway up on both sides are kinda bugging me, so I'd clone 'em out. But that's pretty subjective.

    Yes, the disconnected parts bugged me as well. I had the clone tool ready to remove them but for some reason didn't do that. I agree with you.

    The color on the trees will have to be called artistic license I suppose. I did not like the green trees so I simply changed the white balance. Too much?

    Wow! This is nice. I agree with Kdog regarding the cloning too, and the color of the trees is cool, but overpower the sky. Your subject to begin with I think. My two cents. I really like this.

    Mmmmm...... Milky way!

    Complementary colors ( orange and blue ) almost always make for nice photos.

    This shot works for me!!

    Why not f4 at ISO 1600, rather than 6400?? Just curious.

    Because the super high ISO brings out the stars like nothing else.

    Nicely done.

    I think I'd crop the sides off instead of cloning. That would also get rid of some of the streakiest stars.

    Have you considered stacking 6 five second exposures instead of 1 thirty second exposure? I know the calculators say you can go that long on wide angle lenses, but you do get different effects in the edges than the center.
