Two of my facebook friends in the USA had it arrive today from B&H. Although I have no idea how long they were waiting for it.

Neil van Niekerk just got his copy today and will soon be posting a review on his blog

    Also, this review just posted:

Yes, and if they ever come up with their own 14-24 G-type Canon lens they might just kick Nikon's butt. And looking at the results of the 24-70 II now I feel ashamed that I just bought a 16-35 mk II which seems crappy by comparison. Silly me for not waiting. :cry

The 16-35 still has a totally legitimate place alongside the 24-70 in any collection...they are different beasts. Wide vs Ultra-Wide. If you decide to sell your 16-35, let me know. I'd prefer it over my 17-40 for the extra light.

You know I was only kidding about my crappy 16-35. lol3.gif I love that lens! Puts my 10-22 to shame. Still, the new 24-70 looks killer.

Here's a video review of the new MII compared to the original. By TheNikonGuy, interestingly enough.

Dang. What to do. I have a 24-70L and a 100/2 I could sell to put towards this. The problem is that since I got my 35L, I barely use my 24-70 anymore. I'm afraid I'd feel guilty leaving either the 35L or the 24-70II home in favor of the other!
