I bought a new camera a few weeks ago so I went for a walk in Manhattan.

There is always great subjects to shoot and have fun with the new toy.

I walked from 34th St, 5th Avenue, Grand Central Terminal, Rockeffeler Center and Times Square.

Enjoy the tour.

Fantastic photography! You gotta be happy with that new camera!
I'm pretty sure that is not the original Naked Cowboy though.....:D
I like #7 & #11 of the first set best.

    Tahnk you Earache,

I was reading the name and figure of "Naked Cowboy and Cowgirl" it is a registered brand and nobody can use the names or image with out authorization of the owner ( the original naked cowboy). The guys on my pictures are paying the owner for using the names and the place in Times Square deal.gif

    Thank you for your comments.

    Regards.

Shot of the girl in the top hat, with the mirror in the background kills it!! For an afternoon, not a bad bunch of photo's at all!

btw Marcelo are these JPG SOOC? or are they processed?
I really like the way the colours and light seem to pop out of the photos - something i seem to be failing to capture at the moment... any tips? :D

    Jason,

These are processed, shoot Raw then adjusted WB, contrast and just a little of saturation... my workflow is very basic and simple, nothing too strong or complicated.

I always shoot my outside pictures minutes after the sunset (blue hour) this helps a lot with the deep blue skies and colors of the buildings... the long exposure help to bring a nice color saturation to your pictures.

I hope this answer your question.

    Best Regards.

    Thanks Marcelo,
I just need to get away from the kids at dinner time I think to start shooting at the right time (sunset/blue hour)...

long exposure meaning seconds? guess not in these photos as they're of somewhat moving objects ala taxis etc.

will try harder in Berlin - see if I come back with something worthy :D

    Thanks!

Some pictures like # 5-6-7-8 and 11 are long exposures (5 seconds and higher) the rest are high ISO's (800- 1600- 2500).

Try some pictures and post it here so we can discuss about it.

    Good luck.
