This may sound like a dumb question but........can I delete plug in files once they been installed? Or will deleting or moving them cause a run issue? I have some plug ins that i use for LR and im just doing alittle file cleaning.

You should be able to remove the installation files without any trouble. You can always re download those if you have to reinstall the plugins.

You don't want to remove any files within the plugin folder or any Lightroom folders though.

All the file where downloaded into my downloads folder on my mac. To clean things up I can just create a new folder and drag them right into the new folders with no issue then? These are not with in the plugin folder, just in the download folder where they were dl'ed into.

For "purchased" plugins, I recommend keeping everything you're sent. I also recommend making a backup of everything that you're sent.

For free plugins, as long as you keep the links to the plugin on the Internet, and assuming that you have some sort of fast Internet connection, feel free to delete anything except the plugin files in the plugin folders of the associated software (like ZBlack said).

I generally e-mail myself the Internet locations/links of any important plugins/scripts/actions as part of my backup process, just in case the worst happens (hard drive crash). This also helps setting up a new computer.
