I am so tempted by the 24-120 f4. I might get rid of my 24-70 and step down to it. Or is it step up? I rented one and loved it.

If you do a lot of shooting at the wide end, the 24mm of the Nikkor AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8G ED has considerably less barrel distortion than the Nikkor AF-S 24-120mm f/4G ED VR, particularly noticeable on an FX/FF body. Then there's that aperture differential, mostly important in low light and with mobile subject matter.

I can certainly understand the flip-side, and I'm glad there are choices so that everyone can get what they need. clap.gif
