Hummingbirds

Playing around with new 70-300mm lens at Huntington Gardens in Pasadena yesterday I managed to get some decent hummer shots --- male and female Anna's hummingbirds, I believe.

I'm having fits trying to reduce the noise in the third photo. In Lightroom 4, looks like noise is reduced in the raw image but then reappears as soon as I export a jpg. Dfine not helping. Suggestions?

    Nice photographs, but these are either Allen's or Rufous hummingbirds. It's difficult to tell the two apart.

    Anna's hummingbirds do not have any rufous (copper) color.

    Nice shots, nice to see shots taken in habitat instead of at a feeder. At my place, I call those Rufous hummingbirds.

    Thanks all. I am an absolute terror when it comes to identifying birds. I stand corrected! The Huntington Gardens (where I took the photos) say these are Allens.

    Great photos, I love them! Nice light and focus on the eyes as well as the body.
