Hi guys! It's been so long that I'm probably long forgotten :P but I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis -- which recently has been shown to likely be Crohn's disease. It's been a brutal, painful, nauseous year but at least I was able to shoot a few weddings!

Here's the full post for anyone interested... http://bobbyearle.com/blog/new-york-city-wedding-photos-ariel-and-julia/

C&C and questions are always welcome!

I was lucky enough to have my pal, Nick Nishizaka, back me up in Lindsay's absence (my wife). Here he is allowing me to use him like a test dummy like I normally do with Lindsay :P

Love your blog. And especially love your processing - great images to start, but the finished style and how it hangs together is awesome. I hope your health improvement continues!

Thank you so much for the kind words ;) I was actually incredibly ill for this trip. The plane flight, the wedding morning, the whole day... If I was at home, I'd be unable to do much. But there's something about a wedding day that makes all of that take a back seat -- even when it's bad it takes some kind of a back seat, if that makes sense :P

Killer work! Really digging your style of shooting. As a sufferer of Crohn's myself, I wish you the best of luck. I was nauseous for an entire year before being diagnosed with it. Luckily, I haven't had a flare up in nine years (a pretty mild form of Crohn's). My best advice for you: understand what foods your body rejects, exercise, and find ways to keep yourself destressed. Good luck man.

As others have said, these are just wonderful! Very enjoyable to scroll through and the moments you captured are just awesome. I really dig the processing you did to them as well.

You definitely have a consistent style, composition and tone wise. I'm not always a fan of the low contrast black and white stuff on every image, but I'd say it works in all that you posted except maybe for the groom portrait. The tilt shift thing is very cool, and you certainly are committed to it. Not sure I could sell that many blurry bottoms and tops, but it looks really nice. Hope you feel better in the new year, weddings are a very physically challenging task, tough to do well when you aren't feeling your best.

My favorites are the reception shots. Great expressions! Well done.

Wow, nice set. I love the lighting in 36. What was the lighting source...camera left strobe...big window...if you don't mind.

Whatever, the ambient lighting and post make this one of my favorite shots.
