Well that's not exactly the word she used to describe the concept but you get the idea.

Here's the well armed Zena posing with some of her favorite collection. These are real weapons and for those who worry about it, she is handling all weapons in the safe position. Girl knows her stuff.

NO ONE should be able to make HER toys illegal. iloveyou.gif

Oh, you were talking about the weapons. Color me embarrassed. But, those shouldn't be illegal either.

Nice Job on these Steve! Could have done without number 8.ne_nau.gif

    Thanks guys.

Bryce, #8 is not to be taken seriously. Hence the caption.

Sam, you are correct. She lives out of our little nannyhood here.

Gaby, Correct flagged strobes on both sides to blow the hell out of the white seamless.

Thanks Tin. Xena is a doll and just enough good crazy to be an absolute blast to work with.

You need to drive on up for a weekend and I'll get as many of my beautiful crew together as I can for ya. I really am lucky to have so many repeat shoots with such terrific women.

WOW thanks Hack. You scare me when you say stuff like that to me.rolleyes1.gifrofl

I actually had to borrow a light to blast that background (my suicidal Interfit replacement is on the way) but that kind of comment from you means my winter season was a success. I have the rest of April to play indoors before I return to my natural habitat outside for the season.

This weekend is a World Tour shoot with my creative partner and muse, Cyndi (here's a headshot in case anybody forgot her)

She's no Rambo. With that outfit... she's totally Natasha Romanov, better known as Black Widow, agent of SHIELD. See: Marvel's Avenger's.

Leaving aside for a moment that fact that it's a gorgeous woman wearing a tight vinyl outfit and armed to the teeth... the series is excellent from a photographic point of view. You shot a subject that's almost all black, against a pure white background, yet you got plenty of detail and contrast in the subject. Not only that, but it's a highly reflective outfit, yet your lighting was very even and there are no obvious hotspots, just some sheen here and there that serve to add definition to her shape.

I particularly like #4; it's a great pose, but you can see all of the details of both the outfit and the weapon she's holding.

#5 is a close second. Well, except for that cheesy ripoff of a Klingon dak'tag knife she's holding; I've seen those things, and they're junk. Either a real prop dak'tag or a better quality real knife would have improved the shot for those who like weapons. For those who are just looking at the girl, as we say in Baltimore, "It don't get no better'n'at, hon!"
What I said when I saw the Grand Canyon for the first time: "The wide ain't wide enough and the zoom don't zoom enough!"

Laughing.gif thanks Will. Xena is an exceptionally fun person to work with. The Rambo thing just ages me. I have NO idea who these other characters are. Perhaps Emma Peel from "The Avengers".

This is the first time this year I got the white seamless correct. Some of my other shoots - not so much (or at all).

Sure Hack. It's simplicity itself (it HAS to be if I can do it. Laughing.gif )

I've been having a problem with white seamless all winter so this time I decided to just blast away.

Key light for this set is a strobe through my 60" Photek Softlighter
Fill light is my AB 800 bounced in a 48" umbrella
Seamless is lit by one strobe and one 580EX at full power on either side. To avoid spill I put two 5 in 1 reflectors as gobos between Xena and the lights.

I'd note that this was not in my normal indoor space. Xena arranged to borrow a studio from some friends that gave me the room to move her off the BKG a good 8 feet which I can't do in my regular spot. That gave me room for the gobos and moving her to where there was no spill.
