Motion - Rejects

I've taken over 150 photos for this, and I've made my decision so after the fact I'm posting my rejects.

I started out thinking that I would take a photo of my cleaning lady vacuuming,

but it didn't really work for me.

I also tried a photo from the car where the foreground is blurred

but I wasn't too happy with that either

Then I tried taking photos of the cat. It's easy enough to take photos of the cat when I'm using flash or a fast shutter speed

but when he moves, I have a hard time keeping him in the frame

or a hard time keeping the camera still

So in this one the whole thing is blurred and not just the cat.

The ones I liked are this one, but I can't tell exactly what the motion is

He spend a lot of time tonight grooming himself instead of playing, but I can't really see the movement that well here

This one I really liked as he's batting at me with his paw and has big eyes and flat ears, but I can't really see the motion because his paw disappears into the rest of his white fur

This is another one with a moving paw

But I eventually picked this one because the chair is definitely in focus and so are the cat's feet but the head is not. The problem with it is that the cat is not all in the frame.

My husband disagrees with my choice.

But I had fun with it.

I really like the next to last one - the moving paw. The cat's face & whiskers are nice & crisp but there is definite movement of the paw batting at something. They eyes being out of focus in the last one bothers me.

    BTW, really pretty kitty!

Yes the next to last one was in the final group. I didn't like that his paw looked sort of deformed and gigantic in relation to his body.

In the last one, hiis whole head is out of focus because that's what is moving - it's like he is a ghost or spirit cat (except for his feet)

He's hard to photograph with movement because he is so long haired and white.

He's a feral cat that Bob has got somewhat tamed. He is very spoiled
