First day there after flying for about 20 hours. We get on a buss and drive to one of the oldest ports in the world. Joppa

The Sea of Galilee at sunset was spectacular. This was one of them Wow moments for me.

    Thanks. Yes, they say its a lot like San Diego's weather. Except out in the desert near the Dead Sea. It can get real hot. I had no desire to go, wife made me. But I loved every minute of it and can't wait to return.

    Niiiice! Beautifully done. Brings back many memories. When I was there, we could drive right into Damascus, and safely. And I see Masada has trams up to the top now? Beats walking up. Did you get to swim in the Dead Sea?

    No, didnt swim in the Dead Sea, they had so many warnings about the water, and we got to our room late, so I just hung out in the room and relaxed. Sadly, some of the resorts near the Dead Sea, were built close to the shore, one could walk out and jump right in. Now its a 2 mile walk to the Sea. Or a buss ride. So the salinity levels are even worse as the levels of water drop, or something like that. So we skipped out on that.

    Damascus however would sure be cool to visit. Not now. Lots of civil war going on.

    I wanna go back and climb the snake trail to Masada, I wanna hike the hills all around there, I want to mountain bike some of the other areas around Jerusalem, spend more time in Ein Gedy, overall its a neat place.

    Thanks. I sent it off, they sent it back, and seems to be much much better. And with the new MacBook Pro Retina, they seem even sharper than I've ever seen. So, so far, I'm digging it.

    What a wonderful series of images. I agree with another poster who said you should rewrite your first sentance, these shots are great.

    Very nice images...great post processing. Did you use HDR processing on them?
    Remember, no one may want you to take pictures, but they all want to see them.

    No, I have the D800. With about 14 stops of Dynamic Range.
