Nice enticement to buy Express 7 upgrade ($69.00). Saving $30.00 USD. Haven't tried it yet, but should this weekend. Don't know how it stacks up against DXO and ACR. thumb.gif

    Good catch, thanks. clap.gif

Just to clarify the procedure for this "free promotion", go to the link that Dreadnote provides, and click on the "first" link, named "running a promo". This click takes you to a hidden page at Phase One. (Capture One ver 6 is no longer generally available, so you won't find any link to it through their website navigation.)

Enter the voucher code “DCM2013″ at checkout.

You do need to register with Phase One in order to proceed, which includes supplying a "working" e-mail and password. Be sure to make a copy of the e-mail address you use and your password selection, as you'll need this information later.

After you complete the registration process you'll come to a screen thanking you for the process and directing you to the general "Downloads" page, to grab a copy of Capture One version 6, but that version is no longer publicly available. (You can click on the Downloads link to confirm, if you wish.)

Instead, check your e-mail. You should have received an e-mail from Phase One with your license key and another link to the hidden page for Capture One version 6.

Download version 6 and run the downloaded file.

You need to be connected to the Internet for the next step.

When the Welcome screen of the installation process shows, it will ask you for your e-mail address and license key (which you got in the e-mail from them.) Enter the pertinent information and press the "Get Profile" button of the installer. Assuming that you completed the personal information correctly, you may now you may press the "Activate" button of the installer. Now you can finish the installation and enjoy a free copy of Capture One Express.

You will get a notification to update the software, but the only upgrade from version 6.4.5 is to version 7.1.3 (I believe), which appears to be a paid upgrade. If you wish to continue with version 6, just close the upgrade window and proceed to the Capture One Express software. (BTW, it looks like version 6 is the last version available in 32 bit.)

Capture One Express lacks a number of features, compared to Capture One Pro. You may wish to compare the feature set of both:
